BAITE ALPINE HUT
Situated in a natural basin, Baite alpine hut is a popular destination, not least because of the family atmosphere you breathe once you arrive on site. In fact, in addition to the operator, you will be welcomed by the managing family, whose strengths are known to be friendliness and hospitality, as well as the tasty quality dairy products they produce. On site, you will also find a variety of friendly animals, such as cows and donkeys.
Just a few metres beyond the facility, you can admire the fascinating landscape of the valley at the foot of the mountain and, if you follow the path for about fifteen minutes, you will discover the old trenches, built and used during the First World War.
ROAD INDICATIONS
It can be reached starting from Prezzo or from Cimego, passing through Castel Condino, always following the signs to the locality “Boniprati”. Once you have passed the shelters on the plain, you will reach a fork in the road: from there, continue left along the road until you reach the car park, where you will also find some picnic tables. A five-minute walk along a dirt road will then take you to the hut.
Activities you can do in this Alpine hut
THE ANCIENT ART OF CHEESE-MAKING
EVERY WEDNESDAY and SATURDAY
RESPECTIVELY AT 9.30 a.m. and 10.30 a.m.
You will witness cheese-making at first hand and all the various stages of milk processing, aimed at producing malga cheese, cottage cheese and butter. In addition to the demonstration, you will have the opportunity to visit the cowshed, where milking of the cows takes place, and the premises where the cheese is produced and stored. And if you want to go home with something special and genuine, the herdsman will be on hand to let you taste the cheese products prepared on site, which you can of course buy.

The opportunity you have been waiting for has arrived at Baite alpine hut! An experience through which you can become more aware of your body, surrounded by a wonderful natural setting, together with Simona Bordiga, a certified Yoga teacher. At the end of the lessons, a delicious breakfast with typical products will be offered to all participants.
