MALGA BAITE
Situated in a natural basin, Baite alpine hut is a popular destination, thanks to the welcoming, family-like
atmosphere that you will feel when you arrive there. In addition to the project’s operator, you’ll be warmly
received by the managing family, well known for their hospitality, kindness, and the delicious quality
artisanal dairy products. You’ll also meet a variety friendly farm animals such as cows and donkeys.
Just a few meters past the hut, you’ll enjoy the stunning views of the valley, at the foot of the mountains,
and continuing along the easy path for about 15 minutes, you’ll discover ancient trenches, built and used
during the First World War.

HOW TO GET THERE
You can reach Malga Baite starting from either Prezzo or Cimego, passing through Castel Condino, following always the sings to “Boniprati”. After passing the lodges of the plain, you’ll reach a fork: keep left and continue along the road until the parking area with picnic tables. From there, it’s just a 5-minute walk on a dirt road to the hut.
Activities you can do in this Alpine hut
THE ANCIENT ART OF CHEESE-MAKING
Every Wednesday and Saturday
Respectively at 9.30 a.m. and 10.30 a.m.
You’ll witness up close the cheesemaking activity and all the various stages of the milk processing, aim to the production of cheese, ricotta, butter. At the end of the demonstration, you’ll have the chance to visit the stable in which it happens the milking the cows and the areas where cheeses are produced and conserved. Moreover, if you would like to go back home with something special and genuine, the herder will be happy to guide and let you taste homemade dairy products, which obviously can be bought.

At Malga Baite the occasion you were waiting for has arrived! An experience designed to enhance body awareness, surrounded by breathtaking alpine scenery, together with Simona Bordiga, a certified Yoga instructor. After the class, a delicious breakfast with local products will be offered to all the participants.
