MALGA D’ARNÒ

Located in the stunning Val di Breguzzo, Malga D’Arnò offers a breathtaking view of the Adamello mountain peaks, which stand out just in front of the structure. From the hut, there are various hiking opportunities: in about 3 hours you can reach Passo del Frate, named after a stone tower, that resemble the figure of a monk when seen from a distance.

For those looking for a quieter walk, don’t miss the chance to visit the spectacular Cravatta waterfall, just a 10-minute walk from the hut.

HOW TO GET THERE

To reach the alpine hut, follow the road through the Val di Breguzzo, passing by the Breg Adventure Park. After the park, keep left at the fork, following the asphalt road. At some point a cobblestone road will begin; drive along it for about 300 m, until you reach the parking area. From there, it’s a short walk to the Malga.

THE ANCIENT ART OF CHEESE-MAKING

Every Tuesday
At 9.30 p.m.

You’ll witness up close the cheesemaking activity and all the various stages of the milk processing, aim to the production of cheese, ricotta, butter. At the end of the demonstration, you’ll have the chance to visit the stable in which it happens the milking the cows and the areas where cheeses are produced and conserved. Moreover, if you would like to go back home with something special and genuine, the herder will be happy to guide and let you taste homemade dairy products, which obviously can be bought.
