D’ARNÒ ALPINE HUT

Situated in the splendid Val di Breguzzo, D’Arnò alpine hut offers a suggestive panorama of the Adamello group of peaks, which stand out in front of the structure. From the presidium, there are various excursion possibilities: in three hours it is possible to reach the Passo del Frate (Friar’s Pass), which takes its name from a stone tower, which from a distance recalls the figure of a friar.

A not-to-be-missed opportunity for those seeking a quieter route is a visit to the fabulous Cravatta waterfall, a ten-minute walk from the facility.

ROAD SIGNS

To reach the hut, go up the Valle di Breguzzo via the Breg Adventure Park; once you have passed the park, keep left at the fork, following the asphalt road. At a certain point, a stretch of cobbled road begins and follow it for about 300 metres to reach the hut car park; from there, continue on foot to the structure.

Activities you can do in this Alpine hut

THE ANCIENT ART OF CHEESE-MAKING

EVERY TUESDAY
9.30 A.M.

You will witness cheese-making at first hand and all the various stages of milk processing, aimed at producing hut cheese, cottage cheese and butter. In addition to the demonstration, you will have the opportunity to visit the cowshed, where milking of the cows takes place, and the premises where the cheese is produced and stored. And if you want to go home with something special and genuine, the herdsman will be on hand to let you taste the cheese products prepared on site, which you can of course buy.
